Patek Philippe recommends servicing its watches every eight to ten years. In the US, its service center is Patek Philippe Service Center USA (The Henri Stern Watch Agency) at 45 Rockefeller Plaza, New York, and authorized retailers accept watches too.
Every watch is first checked against Patek Philippe's archives, which cover every watch produced since 1839. Retailers and service centers can quote quickly for modern watches made after 1980 with no visible damage. Otherwise the watch is opened and a detailed estimate follows within five working days. A service takes 6 to 12 weeks and ends with a 14-day inspection of water resistance, function and appearance. The work carries a two-year warranty across the authorized network. Patek Philippe publishes its maximum service prices in Swiss francs, for example 1,000 CHF for a self-winding watch.
