Grand Central Watch was founded in 1952 by Max Kivel as a small stall in Grand Central Terminal and is now run by the third generation of the Kivel family. It is listed by Jaeger-LeCoultre as an official repairer and appears on Baume & Mercier's US service-center list.

Brands serviced: The shop says it has serviced watches from virtually every brand and names direct parts access for Rolex, Omega, TAG Heuer, Concord, Movado and the Swatch Group. Brand authorization is confirmed for Jaeger-LeCoultre and Baume & Mercier only.

What we do: Modern mechanical, quartz and chronograph overhauls, vintage restoration, battery and crystal work, band and strap services, and appraisals, done in the shop's own workshop above the terminal. The shop lists a 24-month limited warranty on complete service. A watch must be inspected in person before a final estimate, and an evaluation fee may apply if you decline the estimate.

How we collect your watch: Walk in at the 45th Street Passageway, or mail it in using the shop's downloadable repair form and its mailing instructions.
