Montrose Watch Co.
Family-owned Montrose watch shop offering complete overhauls, vintage restoration, dial work and laser welding, with walk-in and mail-in service.
Montrose Watch Co. is at 3806 1/2 Ocean View Boulevard in Montrose, run by the Anserlian family. It says it is one of the few shops in California holding the AWCI CW21 watchmaker certification, and that it holds Omega movement certifications from the Swatch Group; these are its own statements, and it does not name the certified watchmaker. It describes repairs done in its own clean room, including complete overhauls timed in five positions, vintage restoration, dial refinishing, balance staff replacement and laser welding, and says it uses genuine manufacturer parts. It also buys and sells pre-owned watches.
Also works on: Omega (its website cites Omega movement certifications). It does not claim manufacturer authorization.
How to bring your watch: Walk in Monday to Friday 10am to 6pm or Saturday 10am to 5pm, or mail it in after completing the service form on its website. Evaluation and estimates are free.
